About Us

There are many reasons why we do what we do, some big and obvious, others more subtle and quiet, sometimes more a feeling than a fact.

We do what we do because we experienced what we now stand for, and that memory has not faded. It has shaped us forever, has become a part of, as natural as breathing. We want to make this feeling accessible to others so everyone can create their own unique and life shaping experience.

The experience of living in a foreign country brings people closer together, leads to better understanding, connects cultures and makes the world a more peaceful place.

The desire to set up our own program was born. Our passion for international educational exchange has united us from the very beginning. Our collaboration over the past few years has shown us how well we complement each other.

Now we are very much looking forward to turning your dreams into adventures with JP ACADEMICS and CULTURE and turning your dreams into unforgettable experiences.

Johanna Lemm

Going on an exchange year to the U.S. had been my dream as long as I could remember and I knew I would do anything to make that dream come true.

Since my return from the U.S .in 2002, I have visited my chosen home many times and have always kept in touch. The fascination for the country and the culture has never ceased and thanks to my sport, I have been able to travel a lot of different places in the US over the last 15 years.

After I graduated from High School, I studied law and became an attorney. However, I still had the desire to combine my experiences abroad with my job and so I began to combine my professional passions in 2020.

Peggy Mautz

As a 12-year-old girl, I was sitting in English class when I first heard about the possibility of spending a school year abroad. My curiosity in other cultures and my craving for this adventure started to grow. My goal was clear – to live and go to school in the USA for one year after 10th grade. 30 years later I became co-founder of JP ACADEMICS and CULTURE.

After returning from the USA, I successfully completed my high school diploma, got involved in a sports club, worked in a fitness facility and always had the desire to be able to share my experience abroad with others. I studied fitness economics and learned a lot about customer service, business management, marketing and how crucial it is to never give up on your dream. From 2014 onwards, I was able to help set up a great exchange program as part of a strong international team.

I had found my calling. Connecting cultures and enabling everyone to experience the positive aspects of a stay abroad is my great passion. Supporting young people and their families, helping them find their own path and being a part of these small and large success stories is a personal experience. I am still in close contact with many of my former students, now young adults, and am proud to be able to observe their developments.
